Exploration: The Atrium Lounge
Exploration: The Atrium Lounge
900 Airline Drive, Kenner, LA
Last weekend, I left New Orleans for a few days for the frozen North. My family lives in Presque Isle, Maine, which is on the border of Way Below Freezing and Too High Snowbanks. Though it was great seeing my family, it made me remember why I left Northern Maine!
Being at the airport in New Orleans on Friday inspired this post. I did not actually go to the Atrium Lounge, the airport pub, but Caroline and I did a few months prior. The atmosphere is what you would expect for the airport--space for luggage at the bar and excited patrons sitting next to their bags. Would be weird in a typical bar, but a great way to start a vacation!
I had my favorite vacation drink, Malibu rum and pineapple juice and Caroline had an Abita amber. My favorite part was the décor. Check out the walls lined with horseshoes!
